Things were looking promising for Moira and Cain earlier this month as Cain shared some heartfelt words with his ex as she lay in her hospital bed.
Thinking Moira was unconscious, Cain poured his heart out to her without realising she could hear every word: “Just wanted to say thank you for hanging in there. You know for the boys sake. Well and for me and all, actually.”
He continued: “I honestly don’t know what we’d have done if we’d lost you. So you just concentrate on getting better.”
Emmerdale are yet to confirm whether Cain and Moira finally get back together, but that hasn’t stopped fans hoping for their reunion.

What has Jeff Hordley said about Cain’s dilemma in Emmerdale?
Speaking to the TV Times, actor Jeff Hordley revealed that his character Cain is still struggling to forgive Moira for her affair with his son Nate.
The actor said: “Cain has still got massive feelings for Moira. If she’d died, he’d have been devastated. She gives him a grounding that nobody else has ever given him.”
He continued: “He’s finding it really hard to get over what she did,” Jeff added. “Every time he looks at Nate, he just sees what happened with him and Moira.”

Natalie J Robb – who plays Moira – added that there’s still a long way for Cain and Moira to go before they go back to being a happy couple.

Why do fans want Moira Barton and Cain to get back together?
Fans have been calling for Moira and Cain to get back together ever since he dumped her for cheating on him with Nate.
For months, it looked like Cain wasn’t going to budge on his stance against his ex as he refused to even be in the same room as her.
But fans were thrilled when Cain admitted that he’s still in love with Moira after Aaron refused to stop digging during their special lockdown episode.
After two weeks of lockdown, Cain admitted that Aztec Camera’s ‘Somewhere in My Heart’ reminded him of Moira.
And days later, when Aaron admitted that he’d always love Robert even if he moves on, Cain revealed that he does still love Moira but fears she doesn’t love him the way he loves her.
The episode ended with Cain listening to the song again and clearly reminiscing about Moira.
Actor Jeff Hordley – who plays Cain – has said he wants Cain and Moira to get back together, telling Digital Spy: “I’d love them to be back together as I Iove working with Natalie (J Robb).
He added: “It’s similar to the Cain and Charity and Debbie thing – they’re always going to be bound by their child and they have to get on in some shape of form.
“They have to move forward as any parent does when a relationship breaks down and there’s children involved. That’s where we will see how they cope with life apart but having to be tied by and sharing the childcare.”
