According to Apple, the Series 5 device has a new type of display designed to keep time and other important information easily visible at all times.
The new watch faces are crafted around this idea.
Series 5 uses a low-temperature polysilicone and oxide display (LTPO), ultra-low power display driver, efficient power management integrated circuit and new ambient light sensor to ensure the best possible battery life.
According to Apple, it will hold its charge for up to 18 hours.
Series 5 will also come with a slew of location and safety features, including a built-in compass that can be added to the face, a fall detector, and international emergency calling for cellular models, which will work without an iPhone nearby.
Like others, the wearable is ‘swim proof.’
It comes in silver, gold, and space grey, with a 100 percent recycled aluminium casing. The firm has also added the option for titanium and ceramic cases.
The Series 5 Apple Watch is available for pre-order today, and will be in stores beginning Friday, Sept. 20.
