Apple event 2019: When will the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro be revealed and how to watch?

September means one thing in the tech calendar: a new iPhone

True to history, Apple is going to be launching its brand new iPhone this week, rumoured to be called the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, alongside an update to the more affordable iPhone XR device.

The big news this year is that the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro models could feature three cameras, whilst the XR successor will have two and come in a new array of colours including purple and green. Don’t get your hopes up for a 5G version, however, as it’s unlikely Apple will be releasing a 5G iPhone until next year.

It’s not just new smartphones that are incoming from the tech giant, Apple is also set to reveal an update to the Apple Watch, named Watch 5

Can’t wait to get your hands on all these new gadgets? Here’s how to tune in to the big Apple launch event this week.

How to watch the 2019 Apple iPhone event

If you didn’t receive one of the coveted invites to attend the launch at the Steve Jobs Theatre at Apple’s California campus in Cupertino, then the best way to watch the Apple event is to go straight to Apple.com/apple-events. It used to be that you could only tune in using Safari, but it’s now possible to watch the live stream using Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

It’s easy to watch on an iPhone too – just go to the same event page and tune in.

As well, for the first time ever Apple will be streaming the event live on YouTube. By visiting the specific YouTube page for the event, you can set a reminder for when it starts so you don’t miss a second.

What time will the Apple event start?

This year’s Apple iPhone event will take place on September 10 and will start at 6pm BST, or 10am PT if you’re in the US,
