APPLE has finally revealed it’s getting into the world of gaming — but what games are you going to be able to play?
Apple Arcade is going to have over 100 games on it at launch, none of which will be available on Android.
They also won’t be on Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus, but many of them will be available for individual purchase on PCs and consoles when they arrive.
So far, 31 games have been revealed for the service.
You might not recognise many names on the list, but many of the games come with a very strong pedigree.
Mistwalker games, for example, was founded by Hironobu Sakaguchi, who created the Final Fantasy series and is responsible for 100 million games sold worldwide.
ustwo games, meanwhile, are a London startup responsible for the sublime Monument Valley.
They’re not the only British superstars either — a long-awaited sequel to the 1994 classic Beneath A Steel Sky, called Beyond a Steel Sky, is coming from Revolution Software.

Is it a game streaming service?
It’s not Apple’s answer to Google Stadia, but more a Netflix-like service where you’ll get access to an ever-changing library of games in exchange for a monthly fee.
It looks set to be dominated by smaller independent developers rather than blockbuster games, and will launch with over 100 exclusive games.
Apple has confirmed that all the games will be downloadable, and playable offline.

Lego, Sega, Platinum Games and Devolver Digital are some of those on board, although larger studios and publishers are not — so don’t expect to see Minecraft, Fifa or Call of Duty on there.
Apple also revealed they will have games from Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, Mistwalker Corporation, Snowman, ustwo games and many more.
The games on Apple Arcade won’t be part of any other subscription service, or available to play on other phones.
That does leave the door open for standalone PC releases, however.
The UK pricing and release date hasn’t been revealed, but it is promised to arrive by the Autumn.
