Anthony Joshua told why he’d lose easily to both Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury

Tommy Fury believes Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury would both have too much for Anthony Joshua, despite the Briton being a ‘great fighter’.

Wilder and Fury will go toe-to-toe for a second time – this time in Las Vegas – on Saturday night with the winner to take the American’s WBC heavyweight title home.

Joshua, who holds the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles, will no doubt be watching on as his two biggest rivals in the heavyweight division face off, and he and Eddie Hearn are believed to be targeting a fight with the winner in order to unite all the belts.

But Fury’s brother Tommy Fury believes Joshua isn’t in the ‘same class’ as the other two heavyweights and he would be shown up, with Wilder knocking him out and Fury able to defeat him with ‘one arm tied behind his back’.

‘Joshua is a great fighter, I’m not going to sit here and say to you that he’s not,’ Tommy Fury told Behind The Gloves. ‘The man is a world champion, he’s done unbelievable things, he’s done very well for himself.

‘But in boxing you’ve got great fighters and then you’ve got elite fighters. I think it’s safe for me to say that Joshua would not be getting past Wilder and he definitely would not be getting past Tyson.

‘Joshua, if he came up against Wilder, doesn’t move his head, he’s got slow feet – what’s he going to do? He’ll stand there, you’ve seen what Wilder does to people who just stand there.

‘Tyson, honestly I just think Tyson can beat Joshua with one arm tied behind his back.

‘This is the heavyweight fight. The winner of this fight, which is obviously going to be Tyson, is the best heavyweight on the planet.

‘Joshua, yeah, he’s a great fighter but I think he knows in his own head that he’s not in these guys’ class.’

As for the upcoming heavyweight bout between his brother and Wilder, Tommy Fury is in no doubt who will win.

‘Tyson is in phenomenal shape and he’s raring to go. He’s super sharp,’ added Tommy Fury. ‘As sharp as I’ve seen him… My prediction for this fight is a late stoppage from round nine to 12.’

‘I saw a very nervous man in Wilder. I’ve been around boxing all my life and I can tell a man like Wilder keeps talking, talking, talking. He’s a very nervous man, he doesn’t look cool or calm at all. Tyson’s sat there, relaxed as anything. Wilder knows in his own head that he needs to prove [himself].

‘Wilder cannot simply look at this fight with Tyson and say he won it. As a man you can’t say that. Wilder knows it. Tyson is in Wilder’s head tenfold. And I can guarantee Wilder is going into this fight thinking “I’ve hit him with my best two punches, flush, and he got back up in the 12th round… so what do I do?”

‘He’s not going to beat Tyson in a boxing match, so what does he do?’
