When asked if bingo is still a ‘priority’ for his mother, Anderson opened up about what lead to Doris turning down a chance to meet Obama.

‘This is a priority for her, so much of a priority that, during Obama’s second term, actually the last few months he was in office, I was invited to the White House, I asked my mom to come with me to the White House, she turned down a visit to the White House to play bingo,’ Anderson said.

Silverman was in denial, adding, ‘No she didn’t,’ but Anderson insisted she did, before adding more details.

‘During COVID, she’s been playing even more. She found a drive-in bingo,’ he adding they would tune to a radio station in the car and someone would call out the letters.

‘And when you won, you honked your horn and they’d come out. In the city of Rosemead, it’s called Drive-In Bingo,’ he added.

‘You know what was kind of weird? They held the ceremony in this back room at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not because of COVID,’ he said.

Anderson added that only 11 people were allowed to be in the room, and eight of them were family members, including his mother, who gave a ‘great speech.’
