Ant Middleton claims he was ‘too hot to handle’ for UK as he treks over to Australia for SAS: Who Dares Wins

Ant Middleton has blamed his SAS: Who Dares Wins exit on being ‘too hot to handle’ in the UK.

The ex-Special Forces show was axed from the Channel 4 series after female staff members complained he made ‘inappropriate comments’ towards them behind-the-scenes.

Ant has denied this, but Channel 4 made a statement saying they would no longer be working with him as a result of the claims.

Currently in quarantine in Australia ahead of filming a new season of SAS over there, Ant appeared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show to talk about what happened.

Again, he reasserted his claim that the channel was ‘covering its back’ by letting him go, stating that interference from execs caused him to quit, instead of him being fired.

‘I’m too hot to handle for the UK, that’s why I’ve come over to Australia. I’ve come over to pester you lot,’ he said.

‘With the UK version, once that final string pinged from my grasp and it was being controlled by health and safety, and it’s being controlled by the production, then yeah we butted heads a bit and we parted ways a bit sourly.’

‘But listen, it’s all good. It is what it is,’ Ant continued. ‘The moment my work starts to get diluted, and I don’t stay true to who I am and true to what the course is about, then it’s time for me to move on.’

Since leaving SAS: Who Dares Wins, Ant’s name has also been scrubbed from the Prince’s Trust website, despite previously working closely with the charity.

He has, however, still been given the go ahead to film SAS Australia, and has taken up rapping while he spends two weeks in a hotel room under mandatory quarantine.
