ANT McPartlin’s ex-wife Lisa Armstrong has spent £40,000 on a Mexico hol.

She, her mum and six relatives are preparing for their first Christmas without her dad Derek.

He died aged 71 in May after a cancer battle.

The group left Heathrow on Friday and a source said: “It’s been a very difficult year for all of them since Derek died.

“Lisa wanted everyone to be together this Christmas and thought it would help if they all had something to look forward to.

“It won’t be easy without him but at least they will all be together.”

Strictly make-up artist Lisa, 43, is making little progress in her divorce from Ant, 44.

The pair are in deadlock over a £62million financial settlement.

Ant, now living with his ex-PA Anne-Marie Corbett, refuses to agree anything until Lisa signs a gagging order.
