Ant McPartlin is in high spirits ahead of this year’s National Television Awards as he gears up to ‘make history’ with Declan Donnelly.

The I’m A Celebrity star, who is expected to win the TV presenter award for the 19th time with his best pal, was spotted leaving his office building in London ahead of the awards ceremony with his girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett and, of course, beloved pup Hurley.

Ant, 44, could be seen strolling along with his beau, smiling away before loading bags into the back of the car and giving cameras a thumbs up.

This year, Ant made his full return to TV, including presenting on I’m A Celebrity, after he faced a 15-month ban for drink driving.

The star was also ordered to pay an £86,000 fine, after he crashed his Mini while more than twice the legal limit in London back in March 2018.

That year, he stepped back from hosting the wildly popular reality show, with Holly Willoughby taking his spot, although he and Dec still won the TV presenter award for the 18th time in a row.

Accepting the award from the Britain’s Got Talent auditions, Ant said: ‘Oh wow. Oh wow. Thank you, thank you very much.

‘This is a genuine shock especially this year. I’m shaking here. I want to say thank you to everybody. I really don’t feel like I can accept the award this year.

The one reason we won the award this year is this guy [Dec]. His hard work, dedication, wit, funniness and being the best mate there is out there. I love you man, well done.’

Dec, clearly emotional, added: ‘Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you to everybody who sent kind and thoughtful messages to us over the past year.

They kept me going while I’ve been flying the flag for the two of us. But I’ve got him back now and now we’re back together.’

This year, the pair are up against Bradley Walsh, Graham Norton, Holly Willoughby, and Philip Schofield.
