Ant and Dec think they look ‘well fit’ as they parody app showing people what they’d look like as opposite sex

Ant and Dec make fans laugh by parodying app that transforms users into opposite sex

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly treated fans to a little parody they put together of an app showing people what they’d look like as the opposite sex.

Said app has been doing the rounds on social media, with many celebrities giving it a go, including the likes of David Walliams who declared he fancies his female self.

And entertaining fans on Instagram, Ant and Dec decided to give it a whirl, but ditched the face-tuning technology that comes with such an app for harsh make-up jobs instead.

Ant was pictured with dark blue eyeshadow and a nude lip, while wearing a light blue headband and Dec graced the camera with heavy blusher, lashings of green eyeshadow, a floral headband and red lipstick smeared across his lips (and his teeth).

Prior to to big reveal, Dec is seen in the video telling Ant: ‘Hey, have you seen that app that everybody’s banging on about that makes you see what you’d look like as the opposite sex?’

‘I’ve done it on us two and it is un-canny,’ he says, with an impressed looking Ant replying: ‘We look… well fit.’

The presenting duo cheekily captioned their post: ‘Wow, what a pair of app-solute stunners,’ and their transformation seemed to tickle their fans.

‘The lipstick on Dec’s teeth ??,’ commented one follower, while another claimed Ant and Dec: ‘Never fail to make me laugh??.’

The pair have been keeping fans entertained throughout lockdown with their amusing videos and Ant and Dec also held a virtual assembly to help children who have been struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.

In recent weeks, Ant and Dec have also issued an apology over their use of blackface during their ITV series Saturday Night Takeaway and any offence they may have caused by doing so.

In light of the Black Lives Matter movement, Ant and Dec released a statement that read: ‘During past episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway, we impersonated people of colour in the undercover segment of the show.

We realise that this was wrong and want to say that we are sincerely sorry to everyone that was offended. ‘We purposely stopped doing this several years ago and certainly would not make these sketches today.’

It continued: ‘We had already taken steps to ensure footage was taken down, and have again recently confirmed with ITV that these segments, and any other historical content that could cause offence, does not appear on either the ITV hub or the Saturday Night Takeaway YouTube channel.’

It came after shows Little Britain and Bo’ Selecta were removed from streaming services for their use of blackface and impersonating celebrities of colour.
