Ant and Dec say tear-jerking 'thank you' to Saturday Night Takeaway fans

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway came to an emotional end tonight, after a series of cancellations due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The End of the Show Show typically airs in Disney World Resort, Florida, but tonight the hosts were forced to pre-record the scenes from their homes.

Before the closing credits started to roll, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly said an emotional thank you to the viewers for their support.

They said: “Sadly that’s all we’ve got time for tonight, and this year.

“It wasn’t quite the series that we’d planned or that we’d hoped to bring you, but it has been a privilege to keep bringing you Saturday Night Takeaway, to try and put a smile on your faces.”
