Emma Raducanu has made plenty of Brits proud with her incredible performance in the US Open – and now she’s getting some very star-studded good luck messages.

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were among those wishing the 18-year-old luck as she heads to the final, writing on Twitter: ‘After an unenjoyable day of sport so far may I say… GOOD LUCK @EmmaRaducanu! We’re rooting for you!’

Footballer Marcus Rashford added: ‘Now come on @EmmaRaducanu.’

Actress Sophie Turner dubbed the tennis star a ‘superstar’ as she commented on her Instagram post, while Lewis Hamilton told her: ‘You got this.’

‘Bring it home,’ singer HRVY told her, with Olympian and presenter Sam Quek adding: ‘Congrats girl! We are all behind you 🔥🙌.’

Emma has captivated the nation with her exploits in New York and she takes on fellow teenager Leylah Fernandez in the showpiece event hoping to become the first British woman to win a grand slam in 44 years.

The teen, who withdrew from Wimbledon after suffering from breathing difficulties during her match against Ajla Tomljanovic, also recently featured In British Vogue, opening up about mental health.

She said of Naomi Osaka’s withdrawal from the French Open: ‘If that’s the best thing for her health, mental health and wellbeing then I think that that’s the right thing to do, because at the end of the day, you’re on this journey alone, no matter how many people are in your corner.’

The star also spoke out about her self-confidence, explaining her heritage factors in.

‘I think the confidence comes from just inner belief,’ she said.

‘My mum comes from a Chinese background, they have very good self-belief. It’s not necessarily about telling everyone how good you are, but it’s about believing it within yourself. I really respect that about the culture.’
