The latest teaser video comes a week after ITV released a video of Ant and Dec facing ‘Arctic Antics’ as the second part of their journey to the jungle, voted for by viewers.

In the fun video, the presenters were stranded in the polar region located at the northernmost part of Earth.

Ant is wrapped up warmly with a scarf and two pairs of gloves while freezing Dec is covered in ice as he dons a sailor hat, thin shirt and white trousers.

As the boat moors in, a confused Ant says: ‘Well, I’m pretty sure this isn’t Australia…’ with a shivering Dec stuttering: ‘It’s f-f-f-f-freezing.’

To which a bemused Ant quips: ‘I wasn’t sure what you were going to say there pal. Do you want to borrow my gloves?’

The presenter then takes off a pair of gloves to reveal he is wearing another pair of gloves underneath, to which an annoyed Dec rants: ‘Unbelievable!’

And things go from bad to worse when Dec then remarks: ‘I am f-f-f-famished’ and Ant offers him a rocket ice lolly with the presenter turning it away.

Yet an optimistic Ant doesn’t stop Dec’s rejection dampen his spirits as he says: ‘Oh, suit yourself. Where next?’

Viewers voted for Ant and Dec to have ‘Arctic Antics’, which secured 59%, as their next trailer instead of Tropical Tides.

In the trailer, Ant and Dec appear to be stranded in a broken-down speedboat in the ocean, with no clue where to go.

As Dec bemoans: ‘I knew we should have got the bus to Australia,’ Ant peers through a telescope at his pal before joking: ‘You’ve shrunk!’

Pulling out a map Dec insists: ‘Stop messing about you and get navigating,’ before pointing out that Ant is holding map upside-down.

But the map blows out of the host’s hands, and as Dec says: ‘Oh dear,’ his pal adds: ‘What do we do now.’

ITV then revealed that the new series will begin sometime in November, although an official date is yet to be confirmed.

The new series marks Ant’s first time back in the jungle since 2017, which came before his drink-drive arrest and subsequent break from presenting.

While Ant was replaced by presenter Holly Willoughby last series, bosses had previously confirmed that he would always return to the show following his TV hiatus.

It was previously reported that ITV had splashed the cash on this year’s trailer, which is the first in an interactive series.

A source told The Sun: ‘The storyline for the promo is really funny, it’s a big and very expensive set-up with masses of special effects, but they wanted it to be right — especially for Ant’s return.

‘Holly was a fantastic stand-in and Dec enjoyed having her with him in Australia very much, but she always said it was a one-off.

‘Ant is a huge part of the success of the series so everyone on the team was looking forward to working with him again.’
