Anne-Marie put on an impromptu gig for her fans in Korea, after she was forced to cancel the gig she was supposed to be playing due to the venue’s unsafe stage.

The 2002 star told her fans why she had to postpone the show, claiming the venue tried to make her sign an agreement that would make her liable for fans’ deaths if the stage broke during her performance.

She was due to play the Holiday Land Festival in Paradise City on Sunday, but was not allowed to go on due to the unsafe stage.

The singer told fans in a now-deleted message: ‘I can’t believe the festival announced it was my decision! I still wanted to go on stage and was told I would have to sign an agreement where I would be liable for people’s deaths if the stage broke!!!!!!’

She added: ‘I DID NOT CANCEL THE SHOW. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. I’m so sorry to my Korean fans. I love you so much I’m crying.’

Anne-Marie also posted a video explaining why her concert had been cancelled at the last minute, telling her fans: ‘Hello everyone, I don’t really know what’s going on but I’ve been told the stage that I was performing on in structurally unsafe.

‘So I’m not going to be able to go on, I’ve been waiting for a confirmation this whole time. I know that one stage has already been shut down, but yeah, I’m not allowed to go on.

‘And I’m so sorry, I’m so annoyed and I’m just going to cry in my room the whole night. But I will be back to see my Korean fans, I love you so much and I can’t wait to come back.’

Fans didn’t have long to wait to catch another performance from the singer however, as she soon updated fans that she had booked a space at a nearby hotel to put on a free intimate gig for her fans instead.

All of her fans were welcome to come and watch her for free, whether or not they had a ticket to the festival, and she even live streamed the show for those that couldn’t make it.

This is just one of the reasons Anne-Marie is one of the nicest pop stars around – she made sure her fans still got an amazing show, despite all the odds being stacked against her and out of her control.
