Annabel Rivkin on how to stay glowing after summer

It feels as though your tan has been stolen, doesn’t it, when that just-got-back-from-somewhere luminosity fades to nothing?

As though you accidentally put it out with the recycling ? Or flushed it down the loo. God, it’s depressing. Even if you haven’t been away and don’t sunbathe, autumn starts to strip skin of its glow, leaving us looking… depleted. Sunshine in a bottle is what we need — without the skin-damaging nonsense. Oh wait… here it is.

Drunk Elephant’s D-Bronzi Anti-pollution Sunshine Drops banish dullness that central heating and long nights can bring, delivering a radiance that will flatter every skin colour and complexion in slightly different ways.

Highly concentrated, this stuff is designed to be mixed into your moisturiser or serum, but I add it to tinted moisturiser (with SPF) for a little extra… blur. And the result is addictive; cheering; transformative. A wonderful, youthful, hopeful radiance.

At weekends I wear nothing else on my skin. But this is a treatment as well as a cosmetic quick-fix: omega-rich marula and blackcurrant seed oils and fatty acids help replenish the skin’s balance, and restore texture and elasticity. A concentrated blend of protective antioxidants shores up the skin’s natural fortifications against pollution and other stressors like… er… stress.  Meanwhile, chronopeptides mimic the antioxidant benefits of vitamin D which most of us sorely lack.

Warning: this is one of those rare ‘fall in love’ products: if you fall for it you might be in for a long-term relationship. And I, my beauties, am head over heels. Hope… bottled.
