Angelina Jolie did not let the rain bother her, as she was pictured heading out for dinner with her godmother, Jacqueline Bisset, in Paris.

The two actresses both wore matching black outfits: while Angelina sported a long black coat with heels, her godmother could be seen wearing a long coat, trousers and boots.

They were both seen braving the rain as they went off to the Laperouse restaurant in the French city, with an assistant holding an umbrella over Jacqueline.

The actress was a close friend to Angelina’s late mother Marchline Bertrand, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2007 at the age of 56 after battling the disease for seven years.

And she is also someone who Angelina ‘admires’ greatly, according to a source from People.

‘They’ve very close, and Jacqueline is someone Angelina has admired for a long time,’ the source previously told the outlet.

‘And of course, there is the connection to her mom.’

The pair catch up every now and then, earlier meeting up in July while Angelina took a break from filming the movie Those Who Wish Me Dead.

Jacqueline previously confessed that she ‘rarely’ gets to spend time with her goddaughter, telling The Telegraph in 2015: ‘I see her very rarely. I’m fascinated with her life as everyone else is.’

She also opened up to the publication about her Angelina’s decision to get a double mastectomy after she discovered a gene that could develop into breast cancer.

‘I’ve been thinking about her recently, all those operations she has had for health,’ Jacqueline continued.

‘It was very decisive to do that. I was very impressed. I don’t know if I would have done but given her circumstances, with six children, the biggest motivator must be that she should be there.’

And as Ange promotes her latest movie Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil, she admitted that she felt ‘pretty broken’ after taking some time off from acting.

‘It was a tough time,’ she told People. ‘I’d been coming off a few years of difficulty, and I was not feeling very strong.

‘In fact, I was feeling pretty broken.’

Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil is out now in cinemas.
