Andy Whyment will appear on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here for the first time tonight alongside Cliff Parisi as the new arrivals undertake a challenge dubbed the Frontier of Fear. The 38-year-old Coronation Street actor is known for his role as Kirk Sutherland in the Weatherfield soap opera. But what is known about his personal life?
Actor Andy Whyment began his career in 1993 when he landed a part in crime drama Cracker.
He went on to have minor roles in The Cops, Heartbeat and Where the Heart Is.
Mr Whyment appeared as Darren Sinclair-Jones in BBC comedy The Royle Family from 1999 to 2000.
Since 2000, he has played Kirk Sutherland in Coronation Street.

He told OK! Magazine: “I’ve been punching above my weight for years – she’s gorgeous! I’m a very lucky bloke.
“We’ve been together 14 years and we just don’t argue. We get on so well.”
Mr Whyment revealed that he had found her attractive very early on.
He told OK! Magazine: “I fancied Nic for some time but nothing happened.
“Then we copped off one night and it wasn’t too long before I realised she was the one I wanted to be with.
“I said in my wedding speech you just know when you meet the one, and that’s true.”
However, Nichola took a bit longer to fall for Mr Whyment.
She told OK! Magazine: “It was a good few months for me because he was a bit of an idiot when I first met him.
“He was single and sharing a place with Al (Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs).
“He was just giving it big time and not doing what I wanted him to do.”
However, everything fell into place for the couple.
But despite the couple’s emphatic statements about their love for one another, the actor revealed they are not, in fact, an overly romantic couple.
Mr Whyment sharing his “unromantic” proposal told OK! Magazine: “Probably when I proposed and that wasn’t really very romantic.
“We were in Monte Carlo having a meal and then we walked out onto the beach.
“I’m not a big fan of the beach either! I’m not a romantic person but neither is Nic.
“That’s probably one of the reasons why our relationship works so well.”
But now the couple are happy together and are parents to two children, Thomas and Hollie.
