Ander Herrera is set to hand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United a major boost by returning from injury this weekend.
The Spaniard has missed United’s last four games with a hamstring problem, including this weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Arsenal, which he picked up in last month’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool.
Solskjaer has relied heavily on the midfielder since his return to Old Trafford and will no doubt be delighted to welcome him back to the fold.
And he’s in line to feature in Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-finals meeting with Wolves after returning to full training, according to The Mirror.
Solskjaer is hopeful of having a full fit squad by the end of the month after a difficult period.
United were without seven fit players for the defeat to Arsenal, with Phil Jones, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Alexis Sanchez, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia joining Herrera on the sidelines.
Ahead of a busy April, he said: ‘‘No, we don’t have to choose with injuries we’ve had lately.
‘That’s given us a great chance to give players playing time and game-time and they’re coming back maybe for Wolves but after the international break we’ve got a full squad fit.
‘The ones who’ve come in when the regulars have been injured have done really well, so we’ll be ready for that.’
