Amir Khan has asked fans to keep his mother in their prayers as she prepares to undergo surgery to treat cancer.
The 34-year-old professional boxer has been keeping fans and followers updated on the condition of his 54-year-old mother, Falak Khan, after she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Amir has revealed back in January that his mother was battling the disease and the Olympic medal winning sportsman has been keeping her company as she continues her fight.
The star revealed that his mum will be going into surgery on Saturday to remove the cancer from the pancreas, and he asked fans to send positive thoughts to her.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, he shared a photo of himself with his mum and wrote: “Please make a special prayer for mum Falak khan.
“She has a big operation tomorrow, taking the cancer out in the pancreas area.
“May god give her strength.”
Fans were quick to send positive messages to the star, with one writing they hope: “her procedure is successful and she makes a full, speedy recovery. Ameen.”

And another tweeted: “Sending healing prayers. Pancreatic cancer is a terrible thing, my gran suffered it. [Praying] for you mum.”
Amir previously opened up about finding it “tough” to watch his mum battle cancer.
He said, as his mother prepared to endure a second round of chemotherapy: “The doctor said with the first one she went through a lot of problems, so they’re going to reduce the chemo a bit.
“When I went over to her house she was really down and upset. It’s a tough time.”
He added: “I’ve been there every night, spending time with them trying to give my support in any way I can.”
Taking to Instagram on Friday night, Amir shared a similar message to his tweet, and added: “Praying she will come out cancer free!“
