Heard, who played Mera, the wife of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, in the superhero blockbuster last year, had her blonde locks neatly styled up with an elaborate braid in the back at the debut of the indie drama.

The Zombieland beauty posed for shots with producer Brad Feinstein and director Nabil Elderkin, for whom Gully is his first feature film after directing music videos for artists such as John Legend, Kendrick Lamar and Frank Ocean.

According to a studio synopsis, the film is centered around ‘three disaffected teenagers’ named Jessie, Calvin and Nicky, played by Kelvin Harrison Jr., Jacob Latimore, Charlie Plummer, respectively, who seek to begin a riot in a dystopian Los Angeles, Variety reported.

Heard plays a character named Joyce, who is the mother of Plummer’s character.
