Amazon Prime Day 2022: Do you need to be a member to get the deals?

Bargain hunters, prepare yourselves, it’s nearly time for Amazon Prime Day, where you can expect amazing deals on everything from gadgets and games through to beauty products, kitchen equipment and Amazon Echo products.

Starting on July 12 and running through to the end of July 13 (so it’s more like Amazon Prime Days than Day, but still, we digress), shoppers can also buy discounted films and TV shows for Amazon Prime Video.

So, from streaming to summer supplies, early Christmas presents to a little self-care treat, you don’t want to miss out.

But do you have to be an Amazon Prime member to take part?

Membership is £7.99 a month or £79 upfront for a year and includes free next-day delivery, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, photo storage and more.

Amazon Student membership fees are £3.99 per month or £39 per year.

Not willing to splash the cash? No worries – you can easily sign up for a 30-day free trial.

Just visit the Amazon Prime website, click ‘Try Prime’, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note that you can’t sign up for a free trial with an email address you’ve used before.

Just remember to cancel your membership before the trial ends so you don’t get charged.

Prime Day kicked off at 12.01am this morning (July 12) and runs through to 11.59pm tomorrow (July 13).
