Amanda Holden shines bright like a diamond as she watches drag panto with daughter

Amanda Holden was a sight for sore eyes as she glitzed and glammed up for a special Sunday out with her daughter at a fresh take on Cinderella last night.

Heading out with 13-year-old Alexa, Amanda, 48, matched her eldest kid in the sparkles stakes as they both donned some bedazzling numbers for the drag version of Cinderella at Trafalgar Studios in London.

So now the sparkles make a lot more sense.

Heart Radio presenter and Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda was all gussied up in a gold gown, as she wrapped up in the bitter London breeze with a green jacket, draped over her shoulders.

Alexa was picking up what her mum was putting down, as she wore a similarly festive silver, sparkly dress and flung a black bag over her shoulders.

The two posed on the red carpet on their way in, beaming for the cameras and holding hands.

The TuckShop production seen by Amanda and Alexa – who the star shares with husband Chris Hughes, with the pair also having seven-year-old daughter Hollie – last night is a very modern, brilliant take on the traditional fairytale.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s Baga Chipz stars as the Wicked Stepmother (so much yes), while Britain’s Got Talent star Sheila Simmonds plays the Fairy Godmother in the limited run which only sees the cast coming together for more performances on the 22 and 29 December 2019, and 5 January 2020.

Amanda was in great spirits and it may come as no great shock, after she mused over the holiday season which evidently sends her into a festive tizz.

The presenter recently showed off the festive garland on her staircase and her beautifully decorated Christmas tree on her Instagram story while she played festive songs in the background, having gone for a red and gold theme on her tree this year, with gold baubles on the garland in her hallway.

She told Metro.co.uk at the Regent Street Christmas lights switch-on that she’s obsessed with this time of the year – and gutted once it’s over.

Still, Amanda revealed she isn’t having a big family Christmas this year, explaining: ‘We are doing a friends Christmas and we’ve not done that in ages.

‘So we’ve got no family and all our friends and we’re going out for dinner so I can’t wait. I absolutely live for Christmas.

‘My tree is going up, I have advent calendars ready, I’ve sent everyone an advent calendar. I mean I love Christmas so much and I get hugely depressed on Boxing Day.

‘I start the countdown for the next Christmas in about March!’
