Amanda Holden: Heart host branded ‘filth’ by Zoe Ball after Alexander Armstrong remark

Amanda Holden, 48, appeared on Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 Breakfast Show last week alongside Pointless presenter, Alexander Armstrong.

On the programme, the host, 48, noted the actress’ “filthy” comments about the BBC presenter, 49.

Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two presenter, Zoe, spoke to Alexander about his singing career and stated on the radio show: “You have sung with Josh Groban.”

Alexander replied: “Yes I have, that was a massive moment, on The London Palladium stage.”

Addressing problems on the day, he went on: “Only annoying thing was I didn’t get to sing until the end of the night and I had been hosting the show, I had been barking all day.”

Amanda asked: “Were you spent?”

“I was spent,” Alexander responded. “I was a husk.”

Amanda further quizzed: “Were you a bit dry?”

The Pointless star revealed: “A bit! Yeah!”

Pointing out Amanda’s choice of words, Zoe said: “For some reason when you say something like that it just sounds filth Amanda.”

“Everyone calls me Carry on Mandy,” the Britain’s Got Talent judge agreed as she chuckled away.

“And it’s such a filthy laugh!” Zoe said. “It’s so good!”

Meanwhile, Amanda is now in competition with Zoe as she has her own Breakfast show on Heart alongside co-star Jamie Theakston.

The actress kicked off her first live show on Monday this week, where she appeared to swear live on air.

The radio host just finished playing Ariana Grande’s popular song One Last Time, when she seemingly said “s**t”.

Amanda gushed: “She’s gorgeous, but I can never say her name,” before adding: “Ari, Ari, Ari.”

Co-host Jamie interjected: “Ariana.”

Amanda then appeared to say: “S**t, I love that song,” before she started chuckling.

Seemingly unaware of the blunder, her co-star went on to discuss the singer’s name as he compared it to ordering a coffee.

“I’ll have an Ariana Grande please,” he laughed.

Amanda Holden will be back on Heart FM’s Breakfast Show tomorrow from 6.30am.
