Amanda Holden conceals figure after risqué BGT dress sparked complaints

Amanda Holden is never shy when taking fashion risks.

And on Monday, the TV personality, 49, who often happily flaunts her age-defying figure with plunging necklines and short hemlines, decided to share a snap from her music video for song With You – which showed her concealing her perfect shape in a modest ensemble.

In a snap shared to the singer’s Instagram Story, she modelled a black tulle gown that featured a high neckline and layers of material that cascaded down her torso and reached the floor.

Amanda teased a hint of her cleavage thanks to a sheer panel of material that was inserted across her chest.

Over the weekend, Amanda became the focus of criticism on social media after she stepped out on Britain’s Got Talent in a low-cut dress that saw some viewers suggest they could see her nipples.

The most recent semi-final on Saturday night sparked 277 complaints to broadcasting regular Ofcom, with 235 of them concerning Amanda’s dress choice.

After her dress caused a stir Amanda took to her Instagram Story to set the record straight, insisting her nipples were nowhere near her low-cut cleavage in a message to her critics.

Sharing a screenshot of a headline about her risqué frock, she penned: “Mmmm really?! Who has nipples this close to their cleavage ?!,” alongside a laughing emoji.

“FYI. A boned corset dented the girls all night,” she added, alongside some egg emojis.

Last year, Amanda shared with Hello magazine on why she always strives to look her best.

She explained: “There’s no way I’d step out in my pyjamas or rock up without a lash.

She took to her Instagram Story to hit out at the critics

“To preserve my own sense of dignity, I always try to look good.

“My nan Ethel used to tell me, ‘Never let your husband see you without lipstick’.
