Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo is on the brink of returning to full training after recovering from injury.
Diallo joined up with United last January and made an immediate impression in a handful of appearances for the first-team – including a crucial goal against AC Milan in the Europa League last 16 stage.
The Ivory Coast international was thought to be close to leaving Old Trafford on loan towards the end of the summer transfer window.
Feyenoord were close to signing him on a season-long loan deal only for a thigh injury suffered in training to scupper that move.
Diallo is now expected to return to training this week.
‘It’s going very well,” he told United’s official website.
‘The injury is doing well, I think today is my last day of recovery and I think, tomorrow, I’ll be ready. I should be training with the group. I hope to be ready for that training.
‘It’s a nice feeling [to be back].
‘To tell you the truth, to be out for so long is not nice. When you’re out [with an injury], you feel like you’re wasting time [not being able to play]’
‘But now obviously I’m back in, feeling happy and I hope I won’t have any more injuries and I hope to go on.’
