Allan Phang leaves EVOS Esports

Allan Phang announced Tuesday that he is leaving Southeast Asian-based esports organization EVOS Esports at the end of June (Wednesday). Phang made the announcement via social media, noting that he was thankful to all the people he worked with in and outside of the company during his time there.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues, partners, and media friends ranging from editors to journalists for making this journey a meaningful and exciting one,” he wrote on social media.

Phang joined EVOS in April of 2020 to serve as the organization’s Head of Marketing and PR. During his time he was instrumental in spearheading a number of partnerships and sponsorships with TikTok, Visa Indonesia, and Newzoo, among others. He also helped the organization raise a $12 million USD Series B financing round in October of 2020.

Prior to joining EVOS, Phang spent seven years with Malaysian airline, AirAsia, most recently as its head of esports.
