All Fun and Games: Asa Butterfield & Natalia Dyer to Lead Horror Film From Russo Brothers


Sex Education star Asa Butterfield and Stranger Things actress Natalia Dyer have officially been tapped for the leading roles in the upcoming horror-thriller film titled All Fun and Games. It will be executive produced by Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo through their AGBO banner.

“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Sebastian, John, and the entire Anton team on this visionary horror-thriller,” the Russo Brothers said in a statement. “Through Gozie Agbo, we strive to mentor and cultivate daring new voices; Ari and Eren are the epitome of next-generation filmmakers. We’ve had the privilege of watching Ari grow in all facets of filmmaking through our work together over the years and, most recently, at AGBO. We are so proud to support him and Eren in their feature directorial debuts.”

All Fun and Games will mark the feature directorial debut of Ari Costa and Eren Celeboglu, who also co-wrote the screenplay based on the original spec script by J.J. Braider. It centers around a group of siblings who find themselves in a game with a demonic twist.

Production is expected to begin this March. It is a production by Anton and AGBO, with Anton fully financing the project. Joining the Russo Brothers as executive producers are Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Anton’s Holly Hubsher. It will be produced by Anton’s Sebastien Raybaud and John Zois along with AGBO’s Kassee Whiting.

Butterfield’s notable film credits include The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, The Wolfman, Hugo, Ender’s Game, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, The Space Between Us, and Slaughterhouse Rulez. Butterfield most recently starred in the third season of Netflix’s hit teen dramedy Sex Education.

Dyer is best known for her role as Nancy Wheeler in Netflix’s coming-of-age sci-fi horror series Stranger Things, which is slated to make its return sometime this year for its fourth season. She also previously starred in horror films such as Don’t Let Me Go, Velvet Buzzsaw, and Things Heard & Seen.
