Ali Fedotowsky breaks down after being mom-shamed for admitting to having a nanny

Ali Fedotowsky thought she was just being real when she wrote a blog post about having a nanny.

But after being hit with a barrage of criticism the TV personality and mother-of-two ‘cried her eyes out’ on Friday and took to Instagram to explain she was just trying to help her fans realize that nobody can do it all alone.

In a series of selfie videos taken in her car while on the way to a workout session, the 34-year-old former Bachelorette talked about how much the negative comments affected her.

‘All of the projects I was working on was starting to be too much and I needed some help. So we hired somebody.

‘And I really wanted to finally start spending a little time working on myself. Like going to a workout class which I’m about to do now.’

Ali explained that the point of her blog – which she posted on Wednesday and has already garnered 130 comments – was to show that she isn’t perfect and that no mother can do everything, juggling a busy career and kids, without some help.

‘I wasn’t doing it alone! I didn’t want people to see that and feel bad about themselves. I didn’t want people to scroll through Instagram and think that they should be living up to that to without the help that I have.’

‘I know all moms are not this fortunate! I know some moms help is their kids going to school so they can go work the hardest job ever and then come home and be exhausted and be a full-time mom again.’

Ali also hit out at the double standards of it, revealing that if she was a man she wouldn’t be getting any criticism.

‘I’m not perfect and I’m sorry. Also, I’m the breadwinner of my family. I’m the business owner that is working my butt off to provide a good life for my family. If I were a man/father nobody would criticize me for that.’

'This photo is a LIE. I totally look like I have it all together right? Well, what you don¿t see is my nanny on the other side of the island.' Ali captioned this snap on Instagram. 'Gasp - yes, I have a nanny 20 hours a week and I¿m still a great mom.'

On her blog post titled ‘I HAVE HELP- AND GASP, EVEN A NANNY!’ Ali revealed that even though she’s a stay at home mom, she has a nanny that takes over caring for her children while she runs her website, which she says is a full-time a job.

Along with the post she shared a photo of her with her kids in her kitchen while juggling a laptop and phone.

Posting the same snap to Instagram she wrote: ‘This photo is a LIE. I totally look like I have it all together right? Well, what you don’t see is my nanny on the other side of the island. Gasp – yes, I have a nanny 20 hours a week and I’m still a great mom.’

She captioned a family photo writing: ‘I may or may not have told @KevinManno that I want another baby the other day.’

She went on to explain the urge saying,’Why is it baby fever seems to strike right when your kiddo turns one?! (Same thing happened when Molly turned one).’
