Alfie Boe for Strictly Come Dancing 2020? Singer wants to ‘challenge himself’ on BBC show

Musical theatre legend Alfie Boe, 46, has performed on Strictly Come Dancing many times during his career. Now, the performer has confessed he “would like to have a go” and “challenge himself” in the competition.

While Alfie has previously sung on Strictly, the star has now spoken out about how he would feel being a celebrity contestant on the BBC show.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, he divulged: “It’s nice to be on Strictly, to be a guest artist who sings a song.

“Whether I could be on the show and dance on it is another matter, I’m not sure if I could do that,” he explained.

“I don’t know if my legs work fast enough, or my head works fast enough to be able to do that.”

Alfie added: “It is wonderful to be able to watch them as well.

“You want to do a really good job for the dancers, who are dancing to your number,” the performer confessed.

“You want to make them shine just as much as yourself.”

This comes shortly after Alfie opened up about performing for the Royal Albert Hall from his family home, without any audience at all.
