Alexis Sanchez does not plan on leaving Manchester United this summer, even if the club want to sell him.

The Chilean has been a disappointment since arriving at Old Trafford in January last year, scoring just three Premier League goals in 29 appearances.

The 30-year-old is on a £500,000-a-week contract that runs until the summer of 2022 and he has no intention of leaving the club three years before that deal comes to an end.

The Express reports that Sanchez has not been deterred by his poor form and wants to remain at United for the foreseeable future.

Paris Saint-Germain had been linked with a move for Sanchez and United would certainly be tempted to offload the player and his enormous wages.

The club have even, reportedly, considered subsidising his wages elsewhere in an attempt to attract suitors for him.

However, he is not interested in swapping Old Trafford for the Parc des Princes, or anywhere else, even if United are looking to get rid of his services.

The former Barcelona man is currently set for six weeks on the sidelines due to knee ligament damage.

However, he has been struggling to get into the first team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer anyway, falling behind the likes of Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial in the pecking order.

Sanchez has started just eight Premier League games this season and hasn’t scored in the Premier League since October.
