As Downing Street gets ready to welcome its latest resident, there’s been a flurry of speculation over what the little lad will be called.

Wilfred and Winston have emerged as the frontrunners, with Ladbrokes offering odds of 5/1 on Wilfred, and 10/1 on the wartime leader’s name.

While Alexander was named as the top choice by Coral, with odds of 3/1.

Jessica O’Reilly, of Ladbrokes, said: “Since Boris and Carrie announced they were expecting Wilfred had been heavily backed by punters, however, it would be remiss to rule out a baby Winston.”
