The One Show guest presenter revealed back in June last year that she is open to dating after watching hit series Normal People.
The raunchy BBC series sees students Marianne (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal) weave in and out of each other’s lives as they grow up in their educational years.
Alex said watching the show has made her want to be in a relationship.
She told pal Michelle Visage during an Instagram Live chat at the time: “After watching Normal People I’ve realised I’ve been single for a while now and I need to make more of an effort because I’m ready to have someone in my life.”
In response to a fan, who asked if she had done anything to improve her dating life in lockdown, she replied: “I can’t do anything in lockdown.”
