Alex Jones: The One Show host shut down by guest after 'cocky' remark: ‘Less of that!’

Alex Jones, 43, was joined on The One Show with her co-host Michael Ball, 58. The pair chatted with the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown presenter Jimmy Carr, 47, after they shared a segment on cockerels.

Speaking via video link, the comedian complimented the presenting duo, admitting: “Now my friends, that is some classic One Show right there.”

Singer and presenter Michael then informed Jimmy it gets “better” as he shared some good news with the comic.

He cheekily revealed that the family who owned the cockerels had named their latest hatchling after the Channel 4 star.

Michael commented: “It gets better as well because you saw that there was an Erica, Bobby, Jasper but no Jimmy until now.
