No-one is more excited about Alesha Dixon’s new arrival than her five-year-old daughter Azura.
Alesha’s little ‘angel’ seemed to be brimming with joy when she hugged mum’s bump in a cute behind-the-scenes picture from Thursday night’s Britain’s Got Talent.
Clearly keen to become a big sister, Azura placed a protective hand on Alesha’s gorgeous glittering gown, just four nights after the singer confirmed her second pregnancy on the live shows.
With the arms of her batwing gown outstretched into wings, Alesha captioned the picture: ‘My angel.’
Alesha, 40, welcomed her first child in October 2013 and feared she was ‘too old’ to have a second child until she fell pregnant earlier this year.
She confirmed the news at the live shows on Monday night, saying she was ‘over the moon’.
But she previously said: ‘I don’t know whether it will happen given my age but I adore the idea of a large family and I hope I will be lucky.
‘The love I feel for Azura is so pure and unconditional. The main thing is to enjoy her in the present and be philosophical about the future, because what will be will be.’
The singer has been with her husband Azuka Ononye, a professional dancer, since 2012 but they married in secret in 2017.
Thursday night was the fourth of five semi-final nights on this year’s Britain’s Got Talent.
The penultimate semi-final saw Ben Hart and Mark McMullan make it through to the grand finale, this weekend.
The live final will air on Sunday, June 3 at 7.30pm, followed by BGMT on ITV2.
