Aldi’s Specialbuys this weekend include a barrel BBQ and a pizza oven – and you can pre-order from today

ALDI has launched a new range of Specialbuys this weekend, including a barrel BBQ, a pizza oven and a boat with a hidden sandpit.

The latest deals are available from Sunday – although some are already available for pre-order online and are selling fast.

Aldi’s Gardenline Smoker BBQ has been launched just in time for the weather heating up and is available to pre-order online for £64.99.

The BBQ comes with separate sections to allow you to either smoke meats or use the grill.

Aldi has restricted the item to one per person as it expects it to be a popular purchase, and you won’t be able to add more than one of the BBQs to your online shopping basket.

The store warned that your order could be cancelled if you attempt to make multiple separate attempts to snap it up.

The purchase limits are to stop shoppers from stockpiling the goods and flogging them for inflated prices on eBay.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

The product is an online exclusive, so won’t be available in stores, and the delivery cost for large items starts at £3.95 – so remember to factor that into the overall price.

It was the cheapest smoker BBQ we were able to find online, with this similar Argos product on sale for £110.

You can complete your BBQ set with Aldi’s £7.99 Ambiano Digital BBQ Thermometer to make sure your guests are served top quality food.

If you fancy pizza rather than burgers, the retailer’s Large Stainless Steel Pizza Oven is already available online for £499.99 and heats up in just 10 minutes.

Aldi’s cheaper £39.99 pizza oven has already sold out but it is expected to be back in stock from July 1 – so it might be worth holding out for that if you’re keen to grab a bargain.

You can also pick up the Ambiano Hot Dog Toaster online for £14.99, allowing you to serve up scrumptious hot dogs alongside your grilled feast. It is available to pre-order online today and will be in stores from Sunday.

This three-in-one kebab grill has already sold out online, but will be available in Aldi stores from Sunday so it’s worth checking your local branch.

You can use Aldi’s online store locator to check where your nearest site is.

If you’re looking for ways to entertain the kids in the garden this summer, Aldi has the £134.99 Ahoy Wooden Play Boat, which includes a chalkboard, a hidden sand pit and a splash bowl.

If you extend the boat you will reveal the secret sand pit, which is big enough for two children to play together.

You can then cover it up to keep the sand clean.

The play boat is suitable for children over the age of two years old.

It is available to pre-order now, for dispatch on Sunday, and it’s an online exclusive so won’t be on sale in Aldi stores.

We found this boat sandpit for sale at online toy store Big Game Hunters for the same price as Aldi’s, reduced from £164.99. It can be delivered as soon as Monday for a £4.95 delivery fee.

Argos has a similar product available online for £150, although it says there is limited availability.

The budget retailer has ramped up its summer product offerings recently, including a bedding range that helps to keep you cool on warm nights.

And if you’re getting ready to cheer on your team when Euro 2021 kicks off next week, Aldi is selling its own range of England and Wales football shirts for £7.
