Aldi’s baby and toddler event is back and prices start from £1.99

ALDI has launched a fresh event with bargain baby and toddler items, ranging from cots to books.

Prices start at just £1.99 for the Aldi Specialbuys and are coming to stores this week.

Eager shoppers can get ahead of the crowds though and pre-order online from today (Sunday February 14).

The supermarket’s latest baby event includes dummies starting from £1.99 and books on being mindful and brave for the same price.

There is also furniture from Aldi‘s Mamia range.

Prices range from £99.99 for a baby changing unit, to a bundle including the unit, a cot and wardrobe for £349.97.

Some items – 12 in total – which had been due to go on sale in January have been delayed because of Covid.

The products were advertised for sale on 14 January but are now not expected until mid-February.

In the latest event all the items are on sale as expected and have not been hit by similar delays.

If you’re ordering online, you’ll need to factor in the £2.95 delivery charge if your order is worth less than £20.

Orders over this amount qualify for free delivery. Or for large items, the delivery charge increases to £6.95.

And if you’re planning on shopping in stores, you should keep in mind that customers are being told to only visit supermarkets for essential goods.

Before parting ways with any cash, you’ll want to compare prices to make sure you can’t find something cheaper elsewhere.

Baby high chair – £12.99

For parents-to-be, a baby high chair is an essential purchase – and this one only costs £12.99 from Aldi.

It comes complete with a food tray and can be used in two positions.

The cheapest from rival Argos costs £17.50 with free click and collect.

Snuggle nest – £29.99

A warm and cosy sleeping space for smaller babies, snuggle nests help provide comfort while parents are nearby.

Choose from colours including brilliant white, soft grey or a hint of mint.

However, if you miss out on this one from Aldi then you can buy a similar snuggle nest for £27.95 plus £2.95 from Online4Baby.com.

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
