Aldi is selling spiced apple and winter berry gin to warm you up this Christmas

ALDI shoppers can warm their cockles this Christmas with the discounter’s new spiced apple and winter berry gin.

The tipple comes under Aldi’s own-label Greyson’s range, which its award-winning Seville orange and Persian lime gin is also part of.

So we reckon that means it must taste good, although we’ve asked Aldi to clarify exactly which winter berries and spices make up the fruity new drink.

But we do know that a 70cl bottle has a 37.5 per cent alcohol by volume content (ABV) and will set you back £19.99.

It’s the only winter berry and apple gin combination we could find being sold at any of the major supermarkets.

The most similar drinks we could find were Tesco’s Chase rhubarb and bramley apple gin, which costs a much pricier £27.50 for a smaller 50cl bottle, although it does have a higher 40 per cent ABV.

Asda also has an extra special triple distilled premium berry gin, which is better value than Aldi’s at £18 for a 70cl bottle also with a 40 per cent ABV.

If you’re not ready for winter yet then you may want to dash out and nab Echo Falls’ summer berries pink gin while you can – a 70cl bottle costs £16 with a 37.5 per cent ABV.

But don’t wait too long as Aldi’s latest concoction is limited edition so you’ll have to go quickly to get your hands on it.

Bottles are available in stores now, although we’ve asked Aldi to confirm when it will disappear from shelves and whether it will be available online, and we’ll update this story as soon as we hear back.

Use Aldi’s store locator tool to find your nearest.

Aldi is also selling a shimmery CANDY CANE gin liqueur for Christmas.

While for summer it introduced a new tutti frutti gin liqueur.
