Lord Sugar, 74, was left highly confused on Sunday evening after he was questioned by GB News presenter Dan Wootton about taking the knee. England brought football home on Sunday, kicking off their Euro 2020 campaign with a 1-0 win against Croatia. And it was a breath of fresh air for many that the team had managed to ignore the sneer and boos they had recieved the week before.
Following their triumph, Lord Sugar appeared on the newly launched GB Newss to chat about the day’s events, but Dan was more interested in his opinion on the somewhat controversial decision for players to take the knee before the game begins, as a nod to ruling out racism in not only the sport but in society as a whole.
“Did you watch the game today Lord Sugar?” Dan asked.
“And what did you think of the players taking the knee?”
The Apprentice boss replied: “Oh, I think it’s ridiculous.”

“Keir Starmer took it in an office.”
He realised how his question may have been misconstrued as he changed tack: “I mean personally, do you believe in it?”
“Well he’s a nutty, so don’t compare me to him,” Lord Sugar restored, seemingly unimpressed.
“What a f**king stupid question… do I take the knee,” he sighed and tutted.
