Lauren Steadman, 26, uploaded a glamorous picture in view of her 85,000 Instagram followers earlier today. Penning a profound message in the caption, she said: “The life in front of you is far more important than the life behind you.” The shot which accompanied the cryptic post showed the Paralympian posing on the red carpet in a striking white gown. It comes after Lauren announced a big change on the social media platform last week.
Unveiling a smouldering selfie, she revealed her brand new look, having swapped her brunette look for fiery auburn locks.
“Decided it was time to bring back my ginger,” she told fans.
“Move over @mr_njonesofficial,” she joked, tagging Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones.
“Yes girl embrace the ginger,” the dancer replied, while fellow Strictly pro Dianne Buswell, 29, commented: “Looks great.”
Several of the Strictly family complimented Lauren on the move, with Neil’s wife Katya Jones, 29, chiming: “Absolutely stunning.”
Lauren was partnered with AJ Pritchard, 24, on the BBC show last year.
The pair made it all the way to the semi-final, where they were knocked out in the dance off by Ashley Roberts, 37, and Pasha Kovalev, 39.
AJ and Lauren formed a close bond during their time on Strictly, with the dancer telling The Mirror he had grown “very protective” of her.
“There are different things that she will talk about in training that she would never talk about on camera,” he said.
“It’s for that reason that we have grown so close together and we will be friends for life.”
AJ has been part of the professional line-up on Strictly since 2016.
Each of the three years he has competed on the show, he and his celebrity partner have managed to reach the semi-final.
Elsewhere, AJ regularly finds himself caught in dating rumours, previously denying he had any kind of romantic relationship with his 2017 partner Mollie King, 31.
In a recent interview with ITV, he said he finds speculation about his relationship status entertaining.
“It is quite amusing sometimes to do a little Google search because you never know what is going to be the next thing,” he said. “Especially after you go out to an event and you’re seen here with that person or…
“You often wonder, ‘What’s going to be the next story?’” he added. “Most of the time I just smile; I think it’s the best way to be about it.”
He has also refused to define his sexuality, saying he prefers to avoid labelling himself.
