AJ Pritchard and girlfriend watch on as Curtis stays emotionless while Maura brings up Amy

AJ Pritchard, 24, took to the picture-sharing site and shared a short clip of himself coupled up with his girlfriend Abbie Quinnen, 23. In view of his 438,000 followers, he uploaded a snap of the pair together at the Tropicana Beach Club in London. He captioned the shot: “@LoveIslandFinal,” as the couple smiled for the photo. The Strictly dancer was also joined by the brothers’ dad, Adrian Pritchard as the small group watched the latest antics on Love Island 2019.

During tonight’s final the remaining four couples poured their hearts out to one another in romantic declarations.

Curtis who was previously coupled up with former contestant Amy Hart, 28, seemingly appeared emotionless after his current love interest Maura Higgins, 28, brought up his ex.

Amy exited the show earlier this month, in an emotional farewell after she was dumped by the professional dancer.

In tonight’s show, Maura gave a heartfelt speech about her relationship with Curtis and didn’t hold back as she told the ballroom dancer how hard it was to spend her first few weeks on the ITV2 dating show “watching somebody else fall in love with [him]”.

The model told Curtis what if felt like to see him in a couple with the air hostess when she wanted to be with him.

Maura said: “I had to spend my first few weeks watching somebody else fall in love with you, when all I really wanted was it to be me you were dancing with.”

The dancer seemed unaffected by the mention of his former flame Amy.

He told the Irish beauty: “Once upon a time, there was man on a journey. He had one goal in mind on his journey of crazy events.

“That goal was to find a princess. This princess wasn’t just any princess, she was the most beautiful princess in all the lands.”

Amy was left in tears when Curtis abruptly ended their relationship earlier this series, with the blonde eventually deciding to quit the villa after struggling to overcome her heartache.

She was forced to watch Maura’s flirtatious ways with Curtis – as the pair shared a sensual dance lesson under her watchful eye.

The air hostess then decided it would be too hard to live with Curtis and to watch him flirt with new love interest Maura – and that she felt it best she went home.

Meanwhile, she has opened up about his new relationship with Maura and admitted she thinks the pair have a future together.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she said: “I hope it does have a future. Obviously I left so Curtis could be happy and Maura does make him happy because they do make each other happy.

“I think it’s a good basis for a relationship and they both are in similar industries on the outside and their friends are quite similar so it does have a chance of working.”

Love Island final continues tonight on ITV2.
