Aitch reveals the best advice Ed Sheeran gave him… and kind of ruins the singer’s disguise forever

If you don’t know who Aitch is yet, you’re about to – the Mancunian rapper is taking the charts by storm and even has a collaboration with Ed Sheeran and Stormzy under his belt too.

The rapper, 19, revealed that Ed gave him the best advice on dealing with his new-found fame, but also kind of gave away the Perfect star’s disguise in the process. Whoops.

He revealed: ‘I’m not even baiting him out. But Ed Sheeran told me the sickest thing ever the other day. He was like… When he goes to shows and he feels like getting in a crowd he just puts a Spider-Man costume on.

‘He’s gone in the crowd, he said he went to go take a picture with two people he walked by with “Ed Sheeran” on a t-shirt, obviously not knowing that Spider-Man was Ed Sheeran and he went over, asked him for a picture, and he told him to move’, he told Beats 1.

He revealed that he wasn’t expecting his song Taste to soar up the charts as much as it did, and for his success to happen so quickly.

Aitch, real name Harrison Armstrong, explained: ‘I like the song, listened to it bare times, didn’t like it anymore. Left it for a bit. Came back to it. It regrew on me. Do you get what I’m saying?

‘I put the audio out thinking, “It is what it is. Let’s see wa gwan”, and then the audio just went mad. Got like five hundred thousand views, rapid, in the first day or something, so I was thinking, “Yeah man. Safe this is a banger.”’

He added: ‘I didn’t know it’d happen now though. Do you get what I mean? I swear, this whole Taste thing… This whole tune was literally made for just… Yeah, just have that, bop your head to that. Enjoy yourself. Have a dance.’

As well as success with his own singles, Aitch also jumped on the remix of Ed Sheeran and Stormzy’s Take Me Back To London, and even Robbie Williams has declared himself a fan of the rapper too.
