Bobby Fish has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling.

The former NXT Tag Team Champion, who was a big part of the Undisputed Era during his time on WWE’s black and gold brand, was released by the company at the beginning of August but he’s back in the big leagues exactly two months after being let go.

After laying down a surprise challenge last week, Fish made his AEW Dynamite debut on Wednesday night as he faced off with Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship.

Given he’d recently been linked to MLW, many fans had assumed this would be a one-off appearance for the ex-Ring of Honor star, but it turns out he’s made the jump and signed a contract.

Following the show, AEW tweeted: ‘Welcome to the team… @TheBobbyFish is #AllElite’.

Fish himself is yet to officially comment on the news, but he did retweet the company’s announcement.

Bobby will now be appearing on the same show as his former Undisputed Era teammate Adam Cole, who made the jump to AEW at All Out last month.

He quickly re-aligned himself with the Elite, and they defeated the team of Bryan Danielson, Jurassic Express and Christian Cage on last night’s show..

It’ll be interesting to see what interaction, if any, Cole and Fish have over the coming weeks, given their history both in WWE and beyond.

Meanwhile, after announcing his MLF debut for the Opera Cup, Fish admitted he has ‘an extra chip’ on his shoulder following his WWE exit.

He told Sports Illustrated: ‘There were so many positives from time in NXT, and I was able to accomplish that with three of my best friends in the industry.

‘It’s really humbling to think of all we did, and to experience that with them was very special. As for right now, having an extra chip on my shoulder now isn’t necessarily a bad thing for me at all.’
