ADVERTORIAL: Kaye Adams to host Bank of Scotland live event on Scotland's green future

Bank of Scotland is set to broadcast a live event on building a sustainable future together.

Many of Scotland’s key industry and business leaders will share their views and experience on their sustainability journey, as well as giving practical guidance and direction.

The virtual event, By the side of Scottish Business: Building a Sustainable Future Together, will be hosted by BBC Scotland presenter Kaye Adams.

A Bank of Scotland spokesman said: “We all have an important part to play in providing leadership, influencing change and collaborating with others across different sectors to help ensure a fairer and better future for Scotland.

“Our recent UK Green Growth Index, developed by Oxford Economics, explores how well placed the regions across the UK are to capitalise on the opportunities of the green economy – Scotland has been identified as the region that is best placed to lead the green revolution as the UK seeks to recover from the pandemic.

“We recognise that the landscape differs dramatically from business-to-business who are at different stages of their sustainability journey, therefore businesses need to be thinking how they can achieve their transition in a way that is fair and equitable for all throughout their supply chains – it’s essential that we think and act as a collective to deliver meaningful change.

“With the COP26 climate change conference just around the corner, we know there is an urgent need to accelerate our efforts by taking full advantage of the green growth opportunity, and to create more awareness of green finance options to help ensure a more sustainable future.”

By the side of Scottish Business: Building a Sustainable Future Together, will take place on Tuesday 5 October, from 10:30am to 12:00 noon.
