Adidas just launched customisable trainers that we'll all be wearing this summer

As we begin transitioning our wardrobes from lockdown slouch (bye slippers!) and into spring and summer, an essential pair of white trainers that we can kick on with midi dresses, shorts and skirts for pub and park meet-ups again are pretty much top of our lists. If you’re anything like us and getting bored of a plain white pair, you might want to elevate your style with something a bit different. How about a pair of Lego trainers?

Yup, you heard us right, Lego trainers are officially a thing and we have Adidas to thank.

The brand has replaced its signature stripes with ACTUAL Lego bricks. The outer sides of each trainer feature a plastic, pocket-sized plate that will flaunt a combo of different Lego pieces. It’s a chance for us all to unbox our fav childhood game and get busy creating a DIY pair that no one else will have. Sounds pretty good to us.

You might want to note that these are limited editions and on previous releases, sold out almost instantly, so you better move pronto to avoid missing out on the next, highly-anticipated release. What’s even more great about these trainers is that they’re suited to high-performance running and aren’t just for looking pretty. Arguably this makes them even more worthy of the investment as they enable you to be on-trend whilst simultaneously hitting your fitness goals in time for summer.

Not only can you get creative by mixing and matching different Lego parts as much as you fancy (ie matching the shades with whatever outfit you’re wearing that day), these trainers have a foot-hugging, sock-life fit plus one big tick for sustainability-conscious shoppers – each pair is made from 75% Primeblue, a high-performance recycled material made in part with ocean plastic. The trainers also feature a sunny-yellow counter lining and iconic Lego logo on the tongue.

Essentially, despite the Lego gimmicks, Adidas hasn’t skimped on any of its signature performance features; expect prime-knit upper lining, supportive heel counter and a responsive boost midsole.

So, the only question now is, which colour combo will you choose in order to bring more fun to your next run? Save when you shop with our Adidas discount codes.
