Adele’s husband Simon Konecki’s solo Brit appearance was ‘major clue’ they had parted ways

The Chasing Pavements hitmaker announced her separation after three years of marriage to charity entrepreneur Simon Konecki.

In a statement on Friday, the singer’s representatives said: “Adele and her partner have separated.

“They are committed to raising their son together lovingly.

“As always, they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”

And it has been reported by The Mirror, Simon Konecki’s solo appearance at this year’s Brit awards was a “major clue the couple had split.”

Despite Simon’s Life Water Company sponsoring the event, Adele did not attend the music bash.

A source revealed to the publication the no-show from the global superstar was “an obvious sign that their romance had come to an end.”

The insider said: ”The Brits were confirmation in a way. Everyone was hoping Adele would come but she stayed away.

“There were whispers running up to the Brits that Adele and Simon’s relationship was over, but Simon was in such a good mood at the party, everyone hoped it wasn’t true.”

Adele was last pictured a month before the Brit Awards at an Elton John concert in LA, however it has been claimed the pair have been living “separate lives for months” as Adele enjoys living stateside while Simon prefers life in the UK.

“Grammys, I appreciate it. The academy, I love you. My manager, my husband and my son — you’re the only reason I do it.”

The couple first met in 2011 during the height of the singer’s fame – the same year Adele scooped 7 Grammys.

After five years of dating, the pair wed in a secret ceremony, with the singer revealing they had married during her acceptance speech at the 2017 Grammys.

Fighting back the tears, the North London native said: “Grammys, I appreciate it. The academy, I love you. My manager, my husband and my son — you’re the only reason I do it.”
