Adele Is Still Crazy In Love With Beyoncé – And She's Got The Moves To Prove It

Three words: Adele’s hand gestures. The “Someone Like You” singer threw some serious shapes on the dancefloor at New York’s Boom Boom Room last night, just days after she was pictured enjoying a raucous night out in Pieces bar with gal pal Jennifer Lawrence. She’s been rolling in the deep and social media has been applauding her every move.

The song that she got her groove on to, and recruited strangers in the club to do the same? Beyoncé’s “Sweet Dreams”. Of course, she knew every lyric and the video choreography. In 2017, Adele devoted her Grammy for Album of the Year to Bey under the pretence that Lemonade was a worthier contender than her own LP, 25. “My dream, my dream and my idol is Queen Bee, and I adore you,” she said on stage. “You move my soul every single day… I adore you, and I want you to be my mummy.” When Lemonade came out the year before, she stopped her own Denmark concert to do a shout to the performer who is “Jesus f*cking Christ” in her eyes. “I’ve been listening to [Beyoncé] for 17 years, and she’s still making music that blows my mind,” she gushed.

Earlier on this week, Adele (incognito in a black hooded ensemble) was photographed entering a recording studio in Manhattan. It’s been almost four years since she released 25, and her fans are on tenterhooks waiting for news of a release date. For now, it’s refreshing to know that Adele decompresses after a day’s work like the rest of us – with loud tunes and proud dance moves.
