“There’s a really lovely, delicious kind of emotion to her voice on the album, like a raspiness as well,” writes BBC2 DJ Jo Whiley ahead of Adele releasing her fourth studio album next month

I don’t think Adele has ever sounded better than she does on this – her performance is flawless.
The reason people love Adele, and why she is one of the biggest singers on the planet, is that she has a phenomenal voice but is also just a girl who fell in love with a boy – to coin a phrase – and has had a painful break-up.
When she sings, it’s from the heart and you can feel that raw, honest emotion.
Adele has been through the same thing as you. She has a way with words and this phenomenal voice – and that is what we’ll get with the album 30 next month as well.

Anyone who’s ever been through the complexities and anguish of a break-up has got something in these songs to look forward to. I can’t say too much but I have also heard a few of the tracks from 30 and there is a variety of sounds on there.
There’s a really lovely, delicious kind of emotion to her voice on the album, like a raspiness as well.
Then, music-wise, there’s also some real cutting edge stuff.
Adele has said that she’s been listening to Goldfrapp and I could really hear the influence and that kind of electro beat on some of the songs.
