Activision Blizzard Analytics Executive Kasra Jafroodi Joins Riot Games

Mentioned in this article

Activision Blizzard analytics executive Kasra Jafroodi is leaving the company to join rival video game publisher Riot Games. Jafroodi, who was Activision Blizzard’s Esports strategy and analytics lead, will now head up business strategy for Project A, which is the new, currently untitled tactical first-person shooter game that Riot Games has in development.

Riot Games unveiled Project A last month during its 10th-anniversary celebration of League of Legends, and it is the first game Riot has ever developed outside of the League of Legends umbrella. Jafroodi, whose last day at Activision Blizzard is today, was a key executive in overseeing the company’s burgeoning relationship with Nielsen.
