Achraf Hakimi’s agent has claimed that ‘all the big teams in Europe’ want to sign the full-back this summer and compared the youngster to Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The 21-year-old Real Madrid right-back, who can also play on the wing, was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund last summer and has flourished in Germany, racking up ten assists and three goals this term.

Madrid have been encouraged by Hakimi’s performances and Zinedine Zidane is considering throwing him into the first-team next season but the La Liga giants are anticipating bids from rival clubs over the coming weeks and months.

Chelsea are said to be very interested in Hakimi, while Arsenal and Tottenham are expected to compete with their London rivals for the Moroccan’s signature.

Hakimi’s representative Alejandro Camano suggests Dortmund are also keen on a permanent deal this summer as a result of his outstanding performances in the Bundesliga.

‘Achraf is the best right-back in the world together with Trent Alexander-Arnold,’ Camano told Sky Germany.

‘All the big teams in Europe want him and, of course, Real Madrid is one of them.

‘But Dortmund is still an option for us. We are just waiting now.’

Last month, Hakimi hailed Madrid head coach Zidane for showing faith in him and giving him the ‘confidence’ to compete with the best.

‘Zidane is the man who gave me my chance and the confidence to be able to play professional football,’ the versatile defender said.

‘I’m grateful to him for his faith in me and the way he has treated me.

‘I’ll always be grateful to him.’
