Ace Family’s Austin McBroom has denied fellow YouTuber Cole Carrigan’s rape allegations, branding them ‘disturbing’.

The YouTube star, who has a following of more than 17 million subscribers, faced major backlash after Cole, 21, uploaded his video The Truth About The Ace Family.

In the 15-minute video, Cole claimed that, back in June, one of his friends called him, alleging that Austin had raped her in a hotel in Miami.

He went on to claim that Austin also tried to rape another woman and that he had paid Drama Alert host Daniel ‘Keemstar’ Keem $500,000 (£390,000) not to broadcast the story on his YouTube channel.

Cole also showed screenshots of messages that were allegedly exchanged between his friend and Austin about the trip to Miami.

‘My friend told me she repeatedly said no multiple times, over and over and over,’ he claimed.

Austin issued a statement on Twitter following Cole’s video, in which he strongly denied all of his claims.

‘If you have not heard, I have recently been a victim of extortion, defamation, and slander,’ he wrote. ‘I knew this was a cold world but never did I foresee something this disturbing upon me.

‘Thank you to all of my Ace Family members for all of your concerns and thank you to those who know my character and my heart.

‘I don’t wish this upon anyone and I can only hope that those responsible for this learn from their mistakes and become better people.

‘My family and I [are] dealing with this matter privately and by taking legal action. Bullying, extortion, slander, and defamation of [character] is something I will not stand for and I can promise that justice will be served.’

After his statement, Austin also posted screenshots of a now-deleted post from Instagram star Leslie Golden, who claimed she was the friend Cole was speaking about.

Keemstar said his comment was sarcastic (Picture: Twitter/Keemstar)

She claimed that the allegations against Austin are false, writing: ‘I wanted to say that Austin Mcbroom is not to blame in the situation and he did not rape me or anyone.

‘I’m currently handling this situation in my own way. I brought this to social media to address the false accusations.

‘This isn’t what I wanted, there’s several sides to every story, and this isn’t how I wanted to tell mine.’

Keemstar also denied the claims that he’d been paid to keep quiet, writing on Twitter: ‘Dude asked me how much did the AceFamily paid to not make the vid, I said $500k sarcastically. Now he said making a expose vid. Truth is the woman I planned on interviewing went MIA.’

Austin rose to fame on YouTube making family vlogs with his wife Catherine Paiz, and his two daughters, Elle and Alaia.
